We are looking for a System Analyst to join our Payments team in Tallinn or Tartu. As a System Analyst you’ll be responsible for understanding and defining business requirements, designing APIs, creating relational data structures, and so much more in the authentication and customer domains. What you'll be doing
- Gather business requirements and turn them into product features
- Work on analysis of business process, functional and non-functional requirements
- Work with platform stakeholders from implementation team, product teams, QA team and others to ensure concise, coherent, consistent and quality delivery of the target business requirement
- Communicate with the product owner, clients, the QA team and developers to see what is needed and what is feasible to be implemented in our product
- Understand the various dependencies and impact on related pieces and features
- Write technical specifications and descriptions of solutions according to the business requirements - process specifications, data structures, API specifications, and integration flows
- Consult with software architects and developers on the architectural matters while doing system analysis
- Document system functionality as specifications, diagrams, prototypes and configuration examples
- Create and manage Jira tickets
- Work closely with the QA team to verify the development results against requirements and performing follow-up analysis
- Ensure functional knowledge is propagated further to the project technical and QA teams so that development and quality testing can be carried out in the best possible manner
Our expectations
- Degree educated in IT or computer science
- Experience in a system analyst role, ideally within the banking / fintech industry, would be a plus
- Ability to translate business requirements into functional technical specifications
- Ability to design APIs, create relational data structures, specify algorithms, and prototype UI
- Understanding of APIs, distributed architectures, messaging and asynchronous processing, webhooks and performance implications of various solutions and strong understanding of relational data models (SQL)
- Understanding of how to formalise requirements in UML sequence, flow and entity relationship diagrams, create UI mockup designs and describe workflows
- Understanding about working at an agile software development team delivering frequent upgrades to a software product
