We are looking for a highly skilled Software Engineer who will be responsible for working on our core banking platform. As a Software Engineer you’ll write code for our platform to ensure efficiency of our banking solution.
What you'll be doing
- Create, maintain, audit and improve Tuum’s systems to meet particular needs, often as advised by a system analyst or implementation manager
- Test our platform and specific modules to diagnose and resolve system faults
- Produce high quality, clean and reliable coding for modifications and enhancements of the core banking module
- Create innovative solutions to meet Tuum’s technical needs
- Drive continuous improvement and make recommendations for future developments
- Analyse and translate business requirements into code
- Design, develop and maintain concise and detailed technical and functional solution documents for development
- Write and test code, refining and rewriting it as necessary and communicate with any programmers involved in the project
- Research, design and write new system functionalities or modifications
- Manage and monitor the applications and their performance
- Be a subject matter expert to team members and business users
Our expectations
- 2+ years of software engineering or software development experience (5+ years for senior position)
- Ability to develop in Java (Spring) / Javascript (React)
- Excellent knowledge of relational databases like PostgreSQL
- Understanding of AWS Cloud based solutions would be a bonus
- Knows and follows good practices when coding
- Passionate about code architecture, knowing which architectures to apply in different situations and why
- Strong background in agile software development
- Strong communication skills and problem solving skills
